1. Guide for:

What is Worship?

Simply put true “worship is what your body does when your heart loves Jesus” – Jim Gibson. “…whether you eat or drink., or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” – 1 Corinthians 10:31 (ESV)

Some practices to help worship or bring glory to God in a gathering:

1. Singing – Led by musicians, videos or audio clips.

2. Communion – Have food and drink prepared like grape juice and a loaf of bread. Read scriptures like 1 Cor 11:23-26 and Matt 26:2628 to name a few. Have time for reflection and repentance. Eat and drink together.

More practices to help worship or bring glory to God in a gathering:

Contemplative Practices – only a two ideas are listed. (Leadership are more than happy to explore other ideas).

1. Silence – spend time together in silence within manageable proximity. Be mindful of God. Silently commune with Him. Listen out for His still quiet voice. Silently read scripture to oneself.

2. Retreat together – go camping together so that you can edify each other and reset yourselves. This practice can help in learning to work from rest. Prayer – Spend time praying for one another and others. Giving – Where needed and led give to Encircle, one another, and/or others.
